When I first heard the debate about a college refusing to fly the Canadian flag, i immediately googled to find out where this college is. Must be in Quebec I thought and then was astonished to find out that it is Mount Royal College in Calgary,
Alberta that is refusing to fly the Canadian flag at their student union building.
Calgary, Alberta. How far will this political correctness go? Apparently the students feel the flag is exclusionary and
someone's feelings might be hurt by flying the Canadian flag.
Hurt someone's feelings ? What about the Canadian military brave men and women who fought and died so that flag could fly? The only reason these students can make a brain dead decision like this is because many died to give them that freedom. I hope Calgarians are as outraged by this as the rest of the country and demand that the Canadian flag flies.
