A caller phoned a local radio show today with a great idea. Why not have the city bring out materials for repairing potholes, leave them somewhere and the citizens of this good city Saskatoon can repair the potholes themselves.
I can think of a couple of reasons why not?
1) Its not my job. I have a job thank you very much and I am kept busy with that.
2) What am I paying taxes for ? Apparently the local mill rate is going up (gee thats new) and I think your and my taxes are supposed to be used for that.
3) Whats next ? To save on health care you sew up your neighbors cut if he has one
and he can sew up yours. Hope this doesn't extend to surgery.
4) What are city crews doing? The pothole in the picture is by Costco. It has been there at least since the fifth game of the series between the Blades and Lethbridge.
After game five several small cars hit it hard and actually pulled to the side of the
road to check for damage. When was game five? Like two weeks ago and in that time with a busy business like Costco and the crowds that go to Credit Union Center, they still haven't fixed it! Good thing the Blades were elminated. Another series and the city might have had to build a bridge.
