The popular slogan "Saskatoon Shines" will soon be replaced with a new one annouced Saskatoon Tourism today.
Vice President of Marketing Milvia Sartini says a new slogan has been chosen which will more adequately recognize the city and the provinces move towards nuclear power. With the possibility of a nuclear reactor being developed in Saskatchewan, Tourism Saskatoon hopes the new slogan will give this city a chance at being chosen as the home for a nuclear reactor.
The new slogan will be "Saskatoon Glows". Further themes are being developed according to Sartini wiith nuclear power in mind.
According to Saskatoon Tourism new slogan ideas are always being received and are welcome. Following the mayor's job creation trip to Toronto, several new slogans were mentioned including "Saskatoon Blows" which Saskatoon Tourism says was likely a reference to the province's reputation for being windy.
