Rider Hopes

Saskatchewan Rough Riders went 0 - 2 in the pre season. BC Lions went 0 - 2 in the pre season.
Now everyone knows that pre season games mean nothing.
But the way I see it, if the Saskatchewan Rough Riders are going to make the playoffs in the West, and I think the best they can hope for is third place, the Lions are the team that they must finish ahead of. That makes the regular season games against the Lions of ultimate importance.
So why the Riders for third. My predictions.
1) Edmonton Eskimos - this is a drastically improved team. A Ritchie Hall coached defense made up of a bunch of Rough Rider castoffs plus Ricky Ray leading the offense. I'll take Edmonton for first.
2) Calgary Stampeders - no way a Henry Burris led team with John Hufnagel as coach is going to miss the playoffs.
Calgary could push Edmonton out of first.
Now heres where the fun begins.
3) Saskatchewan Rough Riders - I have to admit I am going with my heart rather than my head. If Darian Durant can't do the
job this team is in trouble. I keep hearing Marcus Crandall's name come up as the Riders quarterback if Durant falters and that is scary. I mean is that the best the Riders can do?
4) British Columbia Lions - The Lions could easily take third but they also may have issues at quarterback plus their defense has been weakened as well. So much like the first two spots, Edmonton and Calgary, the same really goes for third and fourth.
Either position could be flipped around.
In the East
1) Montreal
2) Winnipeg
3) Hamilton
4) Toronto
