The Heat's On In BC - Save Wally

Things are really heating up in British Columbia and its not forest fires that are causing the heat around the Lions.
Wally Buono's Lions are off to a dreadful 1 - 4 win loss start. Now in some places such as Hamilton and Saskatchewan 1 - 4 is kind of accepted with some grumbling and in Rider land of course its get rid of the quarterback time. Come to think of it, in Saskatchewan if you start 4 - 1 or even 3 - 2 its still get rid of the quarterback time. Darian Durant, Michael Bishop, Kevin Glenn, Kerry Joseph, Marcus Crandall. I think the only qb Rider fans ever liked was Ron Lancaster.
Losing just doesn't sit well in BC and losing isn't something Wally Buono tolerates. In the media there are cries of get rid of Wally, he's too old, out dated, too attached to Buck Pearce and on and on it goes.
Wally is making changes. There's a new middle linebacker coming in to plug the worst run defense in the league.
JoJuan Armour arrives carrying a whole lot of baggage including run ins with coaches and accusations of being too mean to his own players in Calgary practice sessions. But maybe that's why he's coming in. When you're 1 - 4 somebody needs to be mean and maybe JoJuan is just the guy.
So back to Wally. One of the elder statesman among CFL coaches. Four Grey Cup championships, four straight first place finishes in the Western Conference with BC. What's his reaction to all this.
' And I've been there before. I'm not happy about it. I have my concerns. But I'm not stressed out about it. At the end of the day, I got home to relax, and I think about what we're going to do the next day when we pick up the football. I'm not contemplating suicide, if that's what you're taking about."

And why should he? The guys a veteran coach. But just in case the Lion's unhappy owner David Brayley is thinking about
sacking the coach, the Save Wally Campaign continues in earnest and is spreading.
Friday night will be an interesting night with Saskatchewan at BC.
