My dear departed Grandmother used to call it making a big ado about nothing. One has to think the term could be applied to Saskatchewan NDP Leader Dwain Lingenfelter who is upset about, wait for it, this is big, Premier Brad Wall appearing on a local sports talk show and making CFL predictions, talking about the Saskatchewan RoughRiders, and worst of all, are you waiting for it, talking about the American National Football League and his favorite team the Oakland Raiders. Oh my!
New NDP Leader Dwain Lingenfelter -- elected to the legislature in one of two byelections won by the NDP this week -- thinks Wall might have better things to do with his time.
"The fact of the matter is, when you're the premier it's more than going on the sports show and quoting football statistics from some American football team," he told reporters this week as he raised concerns the government wasn't adequately prepared for a potential pandemic.
The fact of the matter is the Saskatchewan RoughRiders are a source of pride to all residents of Saskatchewan and to even many residents living outside the province. Note the huge number of Rider fans in attendance Sunday as the Eskimos of Edmonton
set a CFL record with 62,000 plus in their game against Saskatchewan. I'm proud of that! Apparently Dwain isn't.
Is there something wrong with the Premier unabashedly supporting the Saskatchewan RoughRiders? I don't know maybe the Premier is scribbling out notes on working time. Incidentally the show he appears on starts at 6pm. Thats the end of the day and our own time for most working stiffs so why shouldn't the Premier have some time to himself.
Is it the American thing that bothers Dwain? Gee Dwain, my favorite is the Green Bay Packers. Guess I shouldn't tell anyone about that.

Talk about making yourself look bad. Is this the biggest criticism the NDP and their leader can come up with? If thats the
case Brad Wall shouldn't have too much trouble winning the next election.
Oh and as for his predictions. The Premier is doing pretty well there too. A staffer (The Premier's) notes Brad is 28 - 16
in CFL game predictions and 6 - 2 in NFL games. Not bad but that staffer better lie low. Dwain will be calling for his
resignation tomorrow.

There are pictures of him at Riders games on his Facebook page.
During the by-election campaign, Riders signs were staked out on the same lawns as Lingenfelter signs: Orange and Green coming together!
Link is a true Riders fan.
Link's point is that Wall is a phoney whose resume shows he's not up to the job of being premier.
Maybe he's got point spreads memorized back to 1982, but the numbers Brad should be worried about are that he's 0 for 3 in by-elections so far.
A rotten record in any league.
