Eating a Little Crow

Ok, Ok, stop the emails. I get it. The Riders won 28 - 24 and thats great and I really am happy about it but listen, I wouldn't be booking your Grey Cup tickets just yet.
The decimated defense and the special teams played great. Even though TSN in their post game coverage didn't really notice and spent more time talking about what BC didn't do rather than what the Riders did, it was again the defense that brought this victory home.
And going back to a previous post of my earlier thoughts. I had picked and still do pick the Riders for third in the West and BC for fourth and had said that head to head games (Riders vs BC) will be very important. Well the Riders got the first one. It wasn't pretty but its two points. Eight sacks by the Riders was great to see and the turnovers, interceptions and forced fumbles were what we have come to expect from Rider defensive players, who unfortunately reside in Edmonton these days.
But quarterbacking thats another story. How many points did the offense generate without the help of the defense?
Maybe seven or eight. Thats not going to be good enough and sorry, Darian Durant didn't prove to me that he's the guy the Riders can depend on. And Jyles did a fabulous job of holding the clip board once again and not getting any game time experience.
But what the heck, its two points. Toronto and Kerry Whats His Name are next and maybe the Riders will be 2 - 0.
Would have liked to see more of Jason Clermont in the game but maybe that will come.
Maybe TSN had it right. It may not have been as much about what the Riders did as what Buck Pearce didn't do but its hard to take anything away from a defense that has eight sacks and generates something like 21 of the 28 points.
I wonder how Wally Buono slept last night? I do know this. It was great to be in Kelowna last night watching the game with
British Columbians and have the Riders pull out a victory. I have to admit I enjoyed that very much.
Thank you defense.

Ok I'm a political junkie. Provincial, federal, world - I follow it all. Also enjoy talk radio

Kind of said most of it above. I do love to travel though. Would love to visit every major city out there. Enjoy learning the culture of other countries. I'm a people watcher and a people person. Some say I love to talk and I guess that would be accurate
