really cares but I did listen to the new leader, Ryan Bater on the Murray Woods Show today.
Apparently they are going to begin by privatizing things including the liquor board.
Bater stated the Liberals are going to be principled and stick to those principles no matter what the cost. Well now thats interesting. The Saskatchewan Liberal Party holds zero seats so just what could the cost possibly be.
Interesting to note that three previous Liberal MLA's took their principles and sold them to the NDP a few years ago and despite the best efforts of David Karwacki, the Liberals have never been able to recover a seat.
This is the party that kind of eats their own. The party was making great strides with Linda
Haverstock but then sent her packing when the "Ol Boys Club" just couldn't stand having a woman with so much power.
I think privatizing the liquor stores in Saskatchewan is a great idea. Privatize a couple of others too such as Sask Tel who dabble in the publication business and home security and other things all the time supported by tax payer money. Funny how some taxpayers end up having to compete against Sask Tel and their unlimited advertising budget.
Point is - it really doesn't matter what Ryan Bater and the Saskatchewan Liberals promise to
do with privatization or anything else. They are simply not a player and they know it
The only question is - Is this a good strategy to get some press and air time. Probably - at least it worked for today
