Sask Government announces new WIN WIN WIN program

Citing unprecented success with the governments needle redistribution program, the Saskatchewan government today announced a program to combat alcoholism.

Effective immediately, registered alcoholics will be allowed to exchange empties for full only at Saskatchewan run liquor board stores.

The government calls this a WIN WIN WIN program citing three immediate benefits.

1) Alcoholics will get the help that they need

2) The high hourly rate paid to liquor board employees will be lowered to more properly reflect wages in the private sector. To compensate for the lower wages liquor board employees will be allowed to return empties to the nearest Sarcan outlet resulting in the third benefit.

3) Increased work and the possible hiring of more staff at Sarcan. The government also noted that liquor board employees negatively effected by the change will have first option of applying at Sarcan
