Room for Improvement

The Saskatchewan government made the earth shattering announcement yesterday that there is room for improvement in the governments needle distribution program.   Room for improvement ?   Now that is the understatement of the day.   Ten per cent of these needles are not being returned.  If one innocent child is contaminated by these unreturned needles, then yes, Mr. Minister, I would say there is room for Improvement.

Why do the misguided do gooders insist on aiding and a betting addicts and junkies.  Would you

offer an alcoholic a bottle of whine to cure his drinking addiction ?

And why is it the fire department that has to go out and pick these things up with four or five men and two big yellow trucks.  Could not city maintenance crews be trained with one man and one

small truck to pick up and discard old needles.  It's not exactly rocket science is it ?
