Christmas Giving

With the football season out of the way and the ground turned to white from the first major snowfall of the year, one's attention can now be turned to Christmas. I borrow this reading and theme from a devotional booklet called Our Daily Bread.
I thought it was too good not to pass along. It reads:

The gift of listening
No interrupting. No planning your response. Just listen
The gift of affection
Be generous with appropriate hugs, kisses and pats on the back
The gift of laughter
Sharing funning stories and jokes. Your gift says I love to laugh with you
The gift of a written note
Expressing in a brief hand written note your affection and appreciation of someone you love
The gift of a compliment
Sincerely saying "You look great today" or "You are special" can mean so much and change someone's day.
